in this piece, i aimed to capture the grace of a swan gliding across a summer lake, inviting viewers to feel as though they are standing in a serene park, watching the elegant movement of the swan.
my inspiration for this work comes from patriarch ponds in moscow, where a family of swans has always resided
this piece was meant to be a follow-up to 'swan lake,' my other work. When placed correctly - 'swan lake' on top and 'lily pads' below - the two paintings unite to create one large canvas.
in this piece, i aimed to capture the effortless beauty of the lilies, reflecting their purity and innocence
i found photos of different dog breeds and tried to draw them with a marker without a preliminary sketch. in the end, I created six portraits of dogs, and then decided to cut them out with a small indent around the lineart.
i really appreciate that everyone in this work finds themselves or a familiar person in the image of one of the dogs. i tried to depict them differently and show different personalities.
in addition, i digitized and processed these drawings, creating a sticker pack with dogs and a set of emojis
in general, this was supposed to be one of three works with apples on the theme of changes - the other two apples in the series are a bitten apple and an apple core, but i either did not have the strength or the desire to continue and finish the project.
i was especially proud of this work, because it was the first well-written oil painting by me
